Rio de Janeiro. A CNG (compressed natural gas) explosion that killed a woman. Can see her leaning against the car on the right. Hey, a death from Brazil that didn't involve a gun or machete.

I told you, Brazil is perfectly safe unless your a prisoner.

Or a thief. Or drug dealer, rapist, child rapist, police officer, prison guard, bandit, stamp collector, dog, transexual, transvestite, gay, Argentinian or Not Pele.

I found a version that would translate.--

The security cameras at a gas station in Brazil caught the creepy moment when a car explodes while being loaded with natural gas.

In the incident, which happened last Saturday in São Gonçalo , in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro , one person died and three others were injured.

The victim was identified as Erica de Lima Thiengo Siqueiraa , 27, who died on the spot. According to authorities, the explosion left his body charred and unrecognizable.

The detonation captured from another chamber

In the images you see a man, identified as Francisco José Gomes da Costa , get out of the car to load fuel and then talk near the vehicle with the woman, who was inside.

After the explosion, the man was expelled several meters : he suffered serious injuries, but survived and is now in intensive care.

According to the Rio de Janeiro Fire Department , the detonation was caused by an increase in pressure in the gas cylinder . In addition, they added that the woman should not have stayed in the vehicle, since gas-fueled cars should be fed only when all passengers are out of the car.

The third wounded was identified as Jorge Siqueira de Souza .

"Fortunately, the place was not very crowded," a witness said, according to Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper . "Otherwise, the tragedy would have been greater . "

Don't they have safeguards on their equipment to prevent this?
